EDIT In fact every trackpad gestures is working (I was not acquainted yet with the Monterey specificities, I thought something was wrong but it was me!). If you're interested make some backups of your present system before (I made a whole clone of my 10.13.6 system, before the "jump").Įverything is working except the 32 bits apps (the 32 bits driver of my 20 years old scanner is not recognised but it's working without the driver) and the right sweep of the trackpad (but zooming is working). This free app has a graphical interface, no need to put some code lines in the terminal. And all the instructions are detailed there. And now macOS preferences on its own proposed me to download and install Sonoma….Īll the supported models are listed here. You can go directly to Sonoma - macOS 14 if you want and if the patcher is OK. Then FreeCAD 0.21.1 was launching without any problems! That's what I did and it works! I moved to Monterey, macOS 12.7.1. With my old mid 2010 MacBook Pro 7.1 it is not officially possible (for Apple) to update to a newer system… The two paths forward that I can see are either to provide an unsigned binary for older versions of Mac OS, or to rebuild all of the dependencies against a newer API. For some reason the latest OS doesn't care, but the older ones do. It appears they are being built against an API version that is too old. Unfortunately it is not just Coin - it's ALL of the shared libraries in the Conda build.
